Merry Christmas

Happy Holidays 2006
From The Guoz Family
Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter reaches you all in good health. We are all doing well here. It has been another amazing year! I graduated from pre-school, and now I am in Kindergarten, Yeah!!! I like my teacher Ms. Jarzomb. She helps me to learn how to read and spell. Now that I have finished learning my high frequency words, I am in books. I am very happy because Ms. Jarzomb likes the pictures I make for her. She says I am an artist. My new school is just down the street from my house. Mommy walks with me to school every day with my little brother, Ansel. I really like math and reading.
When I was in preschool, I joined the childrens’ choir at church. I was in a big production during the spring called, “King of the Jungle.” God is the king of the jungle, and king of my heart. I was a butterfly and had butterflies in my tummy that day. It was very exciting! Another thing I did was learn to play the violin. My mommy took me to The Long Beach School of Music to learn to play my violin. I am taking a break from it now, but I think I will try again sometime in ’07.
This year I have learned how to roller skate, and skate on ice. My family and I go to the Glacial Garden. I love ice skating. I took a class last winter. I was very scared and could not let go of the wall. Now that I have been practicing, I can run and do a little spin. Mostly, I enjoy laying on the cold ice, and having fun falling. Ansel watches me through the glass. Ansel took a Baby Dance class with his friend Lucas. Ansel has the beat in him, and always shows off his dance moves. He makes me laugh! My brother turned 2 years old in September. I can’t believe how fast he has grown. He is starting to look like a little boy, and not a baby anymore. He is always talking about something. He can put words together now to make sentences, and now he can tell Mommy when I am being naughty. Ansel and I have been learning sign language at home.
Over the summer, my Daddy, Mommy and our great neighbors Jack and Anwar worked on my playhouse. It was termited and has two new windows, insulation, drywall, a light and Moms’ beautiful paintings. Mommy even painted a fireplace that keeps us all warm and cozy inside. We watch movies in there and have slumber parties. Ansel really likes eating popcorn in there. Our big house had a lot of construction too. We finally got central air and heat, a new patio cover in the back yard, and a new roof. Our solar panels will be installed in January. We will get pure, clean electricity from the sun!
During the summer I spent a lot of time with my cousin Kelli. We went to the movies, the Aquarium and the beach. She always keeps me entertained. I always enjoy the fun times I spend with her. Mommy made many fun plans for us. In the fall, we have been blessed to have little Kaili with us. Mommy takes care of her for my Auntie Michele and Uncle Dan. I like to make the baby laugh, by blowing raspberries at her. Ansel likes having Kaili here too. He likes to talk to her, and sometimes they have a conversation only they can understand. They walk with me to school every day, and pick me up after school.
For my birthday, I had a cup cake party at school. My family and I went to see, “Charlotte’s Web.” We even went to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. We are proud members of the Zoological Society of San Diego, and enjoy our many visits with the animals. We saw a baby elephant, and a baby rhinocerous.
Daddy has been very busy with work and caring for Grandma Blanca. Our Grandpa Richard passed away in May of this year. We really miss him. Mommy takes care of all of us, and sometimes does notary work. She continues to volunteer as Secretary for the condo association. She is also our nurse, cook, housekeeper, taxi, homework tutor and story time coordinator. I hope you all have a happy holiday season, and maybe next year Ansel will write the holiday letter. Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
